After the successful completion of Phase 1 - Urban regeneration of the Šibenik brownfield, Strategic Support Services, the Batižela development project is moving towards the next important step.

Based on strong cooperation with the City of Šibenik and the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Construction and State Property, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will provide advisory support in the next phase of project development, which will enable the start of concrete construction activities at the Batižela location.

The EBRD is an international financial institution with extensive experience in providing advisory services in the countries in which it operates, including Croatia.

Through the advisory services that will be provided in Phase 2, it is expected that the project will attract highly creditworthy investors or an investment consortium, i.e. that the market offer, which will be finally accepted, will meet the needs of Batižela d.o.o. and its founders, citizens of Šibenik and the investor himself.

Such an outcome represents the optimal path for the long-term development of the location of Batižela, the city of Šibenik and the wider region.

The EBRD's support underlines the joint intention of the City of Šibenik and the Republic of Croatia to implement the project in accordance with the best practices, especially those that bring economic, ecological and social benefits and have significant added value for the lives of the citizens of Šibenik.
