The Šibenik company Batižele d.o.o. also participates in the Croatian exhibition space at EXPO REAL, the largest international fair that gathers numerous exhibitors, potential investors and experts from the real estate market and investments every October in Munich. In cooperation with the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Construction and State Property and several other Croatian stakeholders, Nina Kursar, director of Batižela, has the opportunity to present the development project of Batižela on the premises of the former TEF to international investors. This is one of the most strategically important brownfield conversion projects, not only for Šibenik - but also in the national framework.

A few months ago, namely, a contract on consulting services was signed between the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), which provides services and finances the technical preparation of the project, while the selected global consulting company Ove Arup & PartnersInternational Ltd prepared several strategic documents that were adopted at the Sibenik City Council and "traced" the way to the further realization of Batižel and the announcement of an international tender at the end of this year.

On about 200,000 square meters of infrastructurally equipped space of the former factory on the coast and in the contact zone with Šibenik's city core, several zones are planned: for tourism and hotels, residential construction, park and green areas and for socially useful facilities - school, kindergarten, a home for the elderly and infirm, a music school, as well as a multipurpose concert and sports hall and health facilities.

This year's Expo Real, which takes place from October 4 to 6 and, in addition to the representatives of Croatia, gathers 1,198 exhibitors from 29 countries, was also visited by Minister Ivan Paladina and his associates, and held a working meeting with Rolf Bösinger, the German State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Housing, Urban Planning and Construction.
