The city of Šibenik is a pleasant and open Mediterranean city with goal of developing tourism based on sustainable use of natural and cultural resources, nautical tourism, and cultural tourism by creating new attractive zones by restoring neglected resources while achieving socio-economic and environmental sustainability.
The area of 224 632 m2 is located at the western entrance to the city of Šibenik, leaning on the historic canter, a 15 minutes’ walk from the famous St. James Cathedral - a UNESCO monument.
Until 1994, the Electrode and Ferroalloy Factory (TEF) was located in this area, and immediately after its closure, the process of dismantling and ecological rehabilitation of the area began.
The area is located in an attractive position in the Šibenik Bay, it has 880 meters of coastline, along the city beach Banj and an attractive view of the old town Šibenik.
