Right to access informations

The right to access and reuse information is regulated and exercised in accordance with the Law on the Right to Access Information (Official Gazette, No. 25/13, 85/15). The law prescribes the principles of the right to access information and reuse of information, limitations of the right to access information and reuse of information, the procedure for exercising and protecting the right to access information and reuse of information.

Based on Article 3 of the Law on the right to access information, the right to access information for natural and legal persons is regulated through the openness and publicity of the activities of public authorities.

The right to access information and reuse information includes the user's right to request and obtain information, as well as the obligation of the public authority to provide access to the requested information, i.e. to publish information regardless of the request when such publication results from an obligation determined by law or other regulation.

In accordance with Article 27, paragraph 1 of the Law on the right to access information, every user has the right to reuse information for commercial or non-commercial purposes, in accordance with the provisions of the Law.

Reuse means the use of information from public authorities by natural or legal persons, for a commercial or non-commercial purpose different from the original purpose for which the information was created, and which is carried out within the scope of a specific scope or work that is usually considered public work by law or other regulation .

The exchange of information between public authorities for the purpose of performing tasks within their scope does not constitute reuse.

For the purpose of re-use, public authorities are not obliged to create, adapt or extract parts of information if this requires a disproportionate expenditure of time or resources, nor can public authorities be required to continue updating, upgrading and storing information for the purpose of re-use.


Batižele d.o.o. has the right to compensation for actual material costs arising from providing information to the user of the right to access and reuse information, as well as compensation for the costs of delivering the requested information.

The amount of the fee for access to information and reuse of information is determined in accordance with the criteria from Article 19, Paragraph 3 of the Law on the Right to Access to Information.

Batižele d.o.o. informs the public via the official website of the documents and information it possesses and which are publicly available in electronic form and can be accessed without making a special request, and access to all other information and documents is achieved by submitting an oral or written request.
