The Šibenik project "Batižele" was presented at the recent ArhiBau Fair, which was held in Arena Zagreb. It is one of the largest construction fairs in the region, where a panel discussion "Challenges of Croatian cities through green and digital transition" was held, organized by the Zagreb Society of Architects.

- The four-day fair and conference dealt with topics that are current even now, but will occupy the stakeholders of the investment and construction sector in the future as well. Therefore, it was an exceptional opportunity to present our project "Batižele" and an excellent platform to announce the next steps related to the project - the announcement of a public call for expressions of interest from potential investors. "Batižele", it was pointed out then, is one of the key projects that Croatian cities plan to implement in the coming period. On that occasion, it was also discussed about other segments that are important for the realization of such large plans, such as the connection and cooperation of private partners and the City as a public partner, which are measurable contributions, and which are medium- and long-term plans and motives for the transformation of cities, spaces, and habit of the citizens themselves and their guests - says Nina Kursar, director of the city company "Batižele" d.o.o.

Kursar adds, the panel also discussed Šibenik's dedication to green and digital transition and the benefits it will bring to Šibenik, citizens and tourists, as well as contributing to the attractiveness of Šibenik as an investment, educational, tourist, cultural, social and business destination.

The ArhiBau fair was held on more than 6,000 square meters of exhibition space, it was visited by more than 5,000 visitors, the conference was attended by over 600 participants, while the program featured more than 170 speakers, lecturers and panelists, selected experts from private and public sector, construction and experts from the field of sustainable development.
